Key responsibilities

3D Modeling: Develop detailed 3D models of HVAC ductwork, piping, and equipment in Revit.
Design and Layout: Prepare detailed mechanical and plumbing drawings, layouts, sections, and isometrics for fabrication and construction.
Coordination: Collaborate with architectural, structural, and electrical teams to coordinate designs and resolve conflicts, often through clash detection processes.
Calculations and Sizing: Perform calculations for heating, cooling, and loads, and size equipment and systems.
Compliance: Ensure all designs meet applicable building codes, standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA), and client requirements.
Documentation: Develop and edit mechanical specifications and other technical documentation.
Field Support: Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, support construction, and review submittals.
