The Financial Reporting and Consolidation Manager will centralize the financial consolidation function by owning processes related to monthly accounting close cycle, company-wide consolidation, international accounting, internal controls and monthly, and quarterly/annual financial reporting. This role will be responsible for identifying improvements needed in processes and controls, as well as understanding the complexities of international acquisitions.

 

  • Manage intercompany eliminations and processes companywide through collaboration with finance teams at the various brand locations including, intercompany profit elimination processes related to international subsidiaries, and Intercompany borrowings and associated interest processes and accounting.
  • Lead HFM topside JE process, including preparing journal entries, documentation of support and associated SOX controls.
  • Manage tracking of non-GAAP financial measures including adjusted EBITDA. Lead associated HFM processes at the consolidated level.
  • Create and implement processes and controls in the areas of consolidation, equity, and international accounting.
  • Own the processes of intercompany accounting, including US GAAP adjustments for foreign locations, equity accounting, and consolidations.
  • Manage investment and equity matching, including intercompany investment and loan transactions, and related currency translation impacts. Ensure accuracy of equity accounting in HFM (Hyperion Financial Management).
  • Lead accounting for US GAAP adjustments related to international subsidiaries, including accounting for intangible assets and purchase accounting adjustments.
  • Upon request, manage specific aspects of accounting and integration activities related to M&A.
  • Own and maintain implementation of and compliance with SOX controls over responsible areas, primarily related to consolidation.
  • Participate in the month-end close process including completion and/or review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and financial statements. Actively participate in efforts to improve close processes, automation projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Implement process improvements and best practices to meet the complexities from acquisitions of foreign entities and their integration into Company processes.
  • Participate in quarterly financial reporting procedures, including preparation of financial statements and footnote disclosures, as well as investor materials.  
  • Assist with other projects, ad-hoc requests and duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

·       This position is subject to Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related degree required. MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of related experience required.
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Workiva preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting practices.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and reporting systems.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, specifically in pivot tables, vlook-ups, formulas, and functions.
  • Ability to problem solve independently and resourcefully.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to think analytically.
  • Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel is not required.

Responsibilities

·       Lead: working team member who coordinates, supports, trains, and is a knowledge resource for other team members. No direct reports or supervisory responsibility.

 

·       This position is subject to the following physical activities: walking, talking, repetitive motions, and hearing.

·       The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

·       This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
