Financial Controller

We're looking for a Financial Controller to own our finances: the close, the cash, the controls, and the numbers leadership runs the business on. This is a judgement role, not a data-entry one. We're also taking finance towards automation and AI, so we want someone who already works with AI tools, understands what they can and can't do, and is excited to help us get there.

• Own the monthly close. Reconcile with our external accountants and sign the month off in Zoho. Nothing gets closed that you haven't checked.
• Stay on top of cash and budget. You run a rolling six-month cash forecast, own the annual budget, and lead the regular cash meeting with leadership.
• Approve payments and own the banking relationships. Your Associate prepares and executes, and you review and approve.
• Coordinate tax, audit and filings with our external accountants and auditors, who handle execution. You keep the deadlines and own that the output is right.
• Manage intercompany transactions, monthly reconciliations and the resolution of open balances.
• Be the internal point of contact for anything financial. You explain the numbers, and hold colleagues to their budgets without friction.
• Support the monthly reports and explain what they mean and where the risk is, so leadership can act.
• Lead and train your Associate providing guidance and expertise across financial matters including purchasing and vendors.

You have 5+ years in accounting and finance, ideally combining audit and in-house control. What matters to us:

• You understand the craft deeply - but you're not a bookkeeper. You know accounting, tax and payroll well enough to direct and challenge the work, not just receive it. We work with external accountants and auditors; you won't be doing the bookkeeping or running payroll yourself, but you'll know it well enough to steer those partners, catch what's wrong, and own the final result.
• You think in cash. You can tell leadership in two sentences what we can and can't afford.
• You bring order. You'd rather fix a messy process than live with it. You own the controls, the policies and the numbers, and you keep them clean.
• You're comfortable with AI and allergic to manual busywork. You use AI tools in your day and like taking friction out of a process.
• You know your way around finance systems. Experience with an ERP or CRM is important, and Zoho specifically is a plus, since it's where our payments, payroll and invoicing all live.
• You're ready to lead. You've managed or mentored people before, or you're ready to - as finance grows, so can your team.
• You communicate clearly. Fluent in Greek and English, and able to explain finance to people who don't live in spreadsheets.
• You care. At REBORRN, we don't accept the "that's not my job" mentality. If someone spills coffee on the floor, you grab a mop.
