An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as an Administration Support Officer within the Community Palliative Care Service.

Supporting the health of communities across Adelaide's north starts with people who keep things running behind the scenes. The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is looking for an organised and reliable Administration Support Officer to join the Northern Adelaide Palliative Care team on a part-time, ongoing basis.

What You'll Be Doing

Working within a multidisciplinary primary health care setting, you'll provide essential administrative support that allows clinical staff to focus on delivering care. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing incoming enquiries, correspondence, referrals and scheduling across the unit
  • Maintaining accurate records and data entry in health information systems
  • Coordinating appointments and supporting the smooth flow of patient-related administrative processes
  • Providing general office support including document preparation, filing, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
What You'll Bring
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative or office support role
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry and record-keeping skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a patient-centred approach
  • Ability to prioritise competing tasks and work independently within a busy team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the confidence to learn SA Health's clinical and administrative systems
  • An understanding of, or willingness to learn, confidentiality obligations within a public health setting

In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.

You will be joining a dynamic and expanding Local Health Network that is committed to delivering contemporary, innovative and high‑quality health services within modern facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a passionate, highly driven, dedicated and progressive team.
