Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in rural health while enjoying the lifestyle of South Australia’s stunning coastline?
We are seeking a motivated Physiotherapist (AHP1 or AHP2) to join our Community & Allied Health team based in Port Lincoln, Cleve or Cowell. Whether you are an early-career clinician (AHP1) building your professional foundations, or an experienced practitioner (AHP2) ready to apply advanced clinical skills and leadership capability, we welcome your application, with classification and responsibilities aligned to your qualifications and experience.
In this rewarding rural generalist role, you will deliver comprehensive physiotherapy services across inpatient, outpatient, paediatric and aged care settings, using preventative, early intervention, treatment and health promotion approaches. You will be supported by a strong clinical supervision framework tailored to your level - with structured supervision and mentorship at AHP1 level, and increasing autonomy and leadership opportunities at AHP2 level.
Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to improving health outcomes across the Eyre and Far North Region. The position is based in either Port Lincoln, Cleve or Cowell, with opportunities to provide services across multiple regional sites on a rostered basis.
You will also benefit from access to regional professional networks, active participation in physiotherapy and allied health forums, and ongoing professional development opportunities to support your career progression - whether you are consolidating foundational skills or further developing advanced clinical and leadership capabilities.
How Will You Contribute?
Depending on your classification (AHP1 or AHP2), you will:
- Deliver comprehensive physiotherapy services including assessment, intervention, group programs, health promotion and community development initiatives
- Apply Primary Health Care principles to support self-management, prevention and improved health outcomes across the region
- Manage and prioritise a diverse caseload, with increasing autonomy and complexity at AHP2 level
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, research and evaluation activities
- Support and/or supervise allied health assistants, students and less experienced staff (AHP2), or work under structured clinical supervision while building capability (AHP1)
At the AHP2 level, you will work under reduced clinical direction, contribute professional leadership within the team, support coordination of regional services, and assist in the supervision and development of emerging clinicians.
What You'll Bring
- Degree qualification in Physiotherapy and current (or eligible) AHPRA registration
- Ability to manage an independent caseload with confidence across varied clinical presentations
- Strong communication skills suited to working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues
- A genuine commitment to rural and remote health equity and culturally respectful practice
- Willingness to work across regional locations within EFNLHN
- Familiarity with SA Health clinical frameworks or a readiness to learn them quickly
