These are full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month tenure-track positions; preference is at the Associate Professor rank, but applicants at the Assistant Professor rank are welcome. While broad areas of research will be considered, there is particular interest in psychologists with research and clinical specialization in 1) trauma care and suicide prevention, 2) pediatric psychology (i.e., diabetes, sleep medicine, asthma/pulmonology), and 3) autism spectrum disorders. The ideal candidates for these positions are expected to display a strong career record of scientific and scholarly achievements relative to other professionals at their current professional rank; have active interest and skills in building a collaborative research program within a dynamic, interprofessional, academic health center environment; add depth and/or breadth to existing areas of specialization represented by existing faculty in the Child/Pedaitric Psychology area; and possess competency and willingness to engage in (i) mentorship of research and (ii) supervision of behavioral health service delivery within a Scientist-Practitioner graduate training program emphasizing evidence-based practice. The Candidates will work closely with colleagues within the department, physicians, and other healthcare providers in a dynamic healthcare environment. If applicable, day-to-day clinical service delivery responsibilities may take place across a variety of settings within the UF Health Science Center, including our outpatient UF Psychology Specialties Clinic, other UF Health Outpatient Clinics, or the inpatient units at UF Health/Shands Hospital. Taking into account interest and departmental needs, the faculty members will be expected to participate in clinical coverage for other departments' faculty as needed. In addition, classroom teaching may be assigned as part of the faculty member’s responsibilities. The Department (http://chp.phhp.ufl.edu): CHP manages a unique, freestanding academic clinical psychology program with 38 core faculty, more than 60 doctoral students, over 10 Interns, and multiple Postdoctoral Fellows.
