~1 min read

Be a helpful voice for patients, clinicians and healthcare teams as a Customer Service Officer in SA Pathology’s Call Centre. You’ll respond to a wide range of calls, providing a friendly and efficient enquiry service that helps people access pathology information and support. Your care, clear communication and accuracy will make a difference to the experience of everyone who contacts us. Working with the Call Centre team, you’ll respond to result enquiries, route requests for courier pickups and deliveries, and record customer requests accurately in our information systems. You’ll prioritise calls and tasks, protect patient confidentiality and use sound judgement to clarify information or refer enquiries appropriately. You’ll also contribute to service improvements and support colleagues through shared knowledge and teamwork.

You bring a professional telephone manner, a commitment to customer service and the ability to stay organised in a busy environment. To succeed in this role, you will:

• Provide courteous service and handle a high volume of calls

• Use computer systems and record information accurately

• Prioritise workloads and solve customer problems calmly

• Work well with colleagues and protect patient confidentiality

You’ll bring customer service experience in a busy setting, strong keyboard skills and familiarity with Microsoft applications. No formal qualification is required. Call centre or medical experience, including medical terminology, is desirable. You must be available for a roster covering 24 hours and seven days, with overtime, weekend and public holiday work as required.

We’re establishing a pool of suitable candidates for permanent full-time Call Centre vacancies as they become available. Applicants assessed as suitable may be considered for opportunities according to service needs. Inclusion in the pool does not guarantee an offer of employment.
