Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Direct delivery of proficient mental health nursing clinical care to clients and their families using evidence-based practice
- →Ensure services are delivered in a culturally responsive manner
- →Contributes to consumer recovery and optimal mental health outcomes
- →Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and non-government organisations
- →Supports, guides and educates other staff using clinical expertise
- →Leads and participates in research, quality improvement and policy development activities
Requirements
~1 min read- Registered or eligible for registration as a nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
- Registered Nurse with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
- Demonstrated ability to conduct mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents with emotional and behavioural difficulties,
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive mental health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines
- Experience in leadership and direction of student Nurses, and less experienced staff
