Overview

SA Health's Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse or Midwife to lead network operations across a vast and diverse region - connecting patients with the right care, closer to home.

What You'll Be Leading

As Manager Network Operations, you will oversee the safe and timely repatriation of consumers from metropolitan to regional hospitals, ensuring every patient experiences a coordinated, person-centred journey. You will also support the timely transition of aged care consumers from acute beds into appropriate residential care placements.

  • Review SA Health capacity dashboards to identify system barriers and provide real-time operational support across the network
  • Liaise with metropolitan Network Operations Centres, SAAS Relationship Managers, SHCC, and regional LHN representatives to coordinate transfers across South Australia
  • Lead complex discharge planning for regional patients and contribute to sustainable improvements in patient flow
  • Provide oversight, escalation, and reporting on issues affecting patient movement across acute and aged care settings

What You'll Bring

  • Current registration (or eligibility) as a Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a minimum of three years post-registration experience
  • Demonstrated experience in management or leadership roles within a healthcare setting, including supervision of less experienced nursing and midwifery staff
  • Proven ability to engage respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal consumers and communities to support culturally appropriate care - a priority capability for this role within EFNLHN
  • Strong skills in conflict resolution, negotiation, and leading change in complex clinical environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using Sunrise EMR
  • Working knowledge of the Australian National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and relevant legislation governing nursing practice

Ready to Apply

Submit your application through the SA Health careers portal, including a current CV and a cover letter addressing the key capabilities outlined above. For a confidential conversation about the role, contact the Director Corporate Services at EFNLHN. We welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and from people of all backgrounds and experiences.
