Post-doctoral Fellow / Senior Research Assistant

Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 534291) (to commence around August, 2026 for twelve months, with renewal subject to satisfactory performance).

Applicants should possess a PhD in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Statistics or related disciplines (those with a Master’s degree plus at least 1 year’s post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant), preferably with experience working with children and families. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese); a strong sense of responsibility; good organizational and interpersonal skill; ability to work independently and as a team, and to collaborate with external parties. Preference will be given to those with experience in managing projects and/or writing academic reports. 

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator (Professor Sally Cao) in implementing research projects on mental health, and be responsible for data collection, data analysis, preparation of presentations, drafting proposal and reports, and performing any other duties as assigned.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
