Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant

A boutique accounting firm is looking to recruit a remote Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant, working six hours per day. You will work for a portfolio of clients doing accounting, personal tax, company tax and provisional tax. You will also be required to do year-end journals and financials. Responsibilities: Perform monthly accounting for multiple clients Do personal tax, company tax as well as provisional tax. Maintain and organise financial records and supporting documentation Assist with month-end close procedures and preparation of financial reports Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely payments and collections Assist with VAT/GST calculations, submissions, and compliance (where applicable) Investigate and resolve discrepancies and accounting issues Assist with provisional tax calculations and submissions Handle payroll processing (depending on experience) Requirements Accounting qualification as an added advantage At least 8 years’ proven experience working as a bookkeeper is required Strong working knowledge of SAGE and PASTEL is a minimum requirement
