Finance & Management Accountant

Managing full-scope financial operations and management accounting across an allocated portfolio of entities, this role ensures accurate, actionable, and reliable financial information is delivered to key stakeholders. Operating within a supportive shared-services structure that underpins leading wealth management practices, the position takes ownership of month-end reporting, process improvements, and group-level financial integrity. Working closely with the Financial Manager, the role combines hands-on accounting with analytical problem-solving. It provides end-to-end accountability for transactional records, financial reconciliations, budgeting support, and forecasting for a diverse entity portfolio. Key Responsibilities Own the complete accounting function for an allocated portfolio of entities, managing tasks from initial transaction processing and cashbook entries through to management account preparation. Execute month-end reporting, maintain supporting schedules, and perform comprehensive reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. Investigate financial variances, accounting issues, and discrepancies, driving them through to full resolution. Support group-level requirements, including financial consolidations, budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation. Contribute to financial control enhancements, system initiatives, reporting upgrades, and continuous process improvements. Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to guarantee financial data is complete, clear, and meaningful. Essential Requirements Matric. Proven track record in a high-execution accounting role with strong technical accounting fundamentals. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities. Strong financial systems aptitude with proven ability to learn new technologies quickly. Practical experience utilising Sage or similar accounting software. Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and SharePoint. Desirable Requirements Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ICB Financial Accounting, SAIBA, CIMA (Operational Level), or a similar financial qualification. Exposure to business intelligence platforms, reporting tools, or financial process automation solutions.
