Tax Consultant

Our client in the renewable energy consulting space needs a tax consultant to provide part-time tax compliance and planning support. The work covers tax preparation, filings, and advisory for individuals and small to medium-sized businesses. Hours required are approximately 15 to 20 hours per month. Deliverables Prepare and file individual tax returns (ITR12) Prepare and file company tax returns (ITR14) Manage payroll and VAT tax obligations, including EMP201, EMP501, and VAT201 submissions File annual returns and beneficial ownership submissions as needed Advise clients on personal and business tax planning strategies Ensure compliance with current SARS regulations and tax laws Respond to SARS correspondence, queries, and audits Review financial statements and supporting documents to determine tax treatment Communicate tax legislation updates to clients as applicable Liaise with clients to gather documentation and explain tax outcomes Provide general advisory on tax structuring and optimisation Requirements Skills and experience needed Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in tax consulting or accounting Proven experience with personal and business tax for individuals, sole proprietors, and companies Thorough understanding of SARS eFiling, tax types (PAYE, VAT, Provisional Tax), and deadlines Strong analytical and communication skills Benefits Engagement details Estimated hours: Approximately 15 to 20 hours per month Location: Remote
