Red Ember Recruitment is looking for an Integration Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting custom integrations between Sage 300 People and third-party systems, including recruitment platforms, time and attendance systems, learning management systems, accounting platforms, and other HR or business applications. This role focuses on enabling automation, improving data accuracy, and ensuring seamless data exchange between systems. The developer will work with Microsoft SQL Server, REST APIs, and ETL processes to deliver reliable, scalable integration solutions. The role includes both project-based development and ongoing support of production integrations. This position is suited to a developer with strong SQL skills and foundational integration experience who is looking to grow into a highly capable integration specialist. Requirements Integration Design and Development Design and develop custom integrations between Sage 300 People and external systems using SQL Server and REST APIs. Define data models, mappings, transformation logic, and process interfaces between systems. Develop, test, and deploy integration solutions across development, testing, and production environments. Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data between systems. Ensure integration processes are reliable, efficient, and scalable. SQL Development and Data Management Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support integration processes. Review SQL scripts for performance, efficiency, and maintainability prior to deployment. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across integrated systems. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues. Integration Support and Maintenance Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for deployed integrations. Monitor integration processes and resolve failures or data discrepancies. Maintain and enhance existing integrations as business requirements evolve. Assist with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution. Technical Collaboration and Delivery Work closely with internal consultants, developers, and customers to understand integration requirements. Participate in integration planning, design, and implementation activities. Ensure integration solutions align with internal standards and best practices. Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders. Documentation and Technical Asset Development Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including integration specifications, data mappings, and deployment procedures. Develop reusable tools and technical assets such as Postman collections, scripts, and automation utilities. Maintain version control and deployment documentation. Continuous Improvement and Professional Development Stay up to date with integration technologies, tools, and best practices. Continuously improve SQL, API, and integration development skills. Contribute to improving internal integration frameworks, tools, and standards. Actively participate in team collaboration and knowledge sharing. Qualifications, Experience And Competencies: Required: · Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering, or related field. · 1 to 2 years of experience in software development, integration development, or data engineering. · Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including: Stored procedures Views Joins and complex queries Query optimisation Experience working with REST APIs and JSON/XML data formats. Experience developing or supporting ETL processes. Preferred: Experience integrating HR, payroll, or business systems. Experience working with Sage 300 People or similar ERP/HR systems. Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Hoppscotch. Exposure to C#, .NET, or scripting languages. Experience working with production environments and deployment processes.
