Junior Sales & Customer Service Intern

Red Ember is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual with a genuine interest in the shooting, hunting, outdoor sporting, firearms, or reloading industry who is eager to start at a junior level and build a long-term career within a specialist business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to learn the business from the ground up. The successful candidate will be exposed to different areas of the business, including sales, customer service, product knowledge, administration, and day-to-day operations, while developing the skills and knowledge required to progress into a more senior position. The role will involve learning about the company's extensive range of specialist shooting and reloading products, including reloading equipment, presses, accessories, and related products. Requirements • Learn and develop knowledge of the company's products and services. • Assist customers with general enquiries and provide excellent customer service. • Learn the sales process from initial customer enquiry through to completing a sale. • Assist the sales team with quotations, orders, and customer follow-ups. • Develop an understanding of the various products, brands, and applications offered by the business. • Gain exposure to the company's customer service, sales, and administrative functions. • Assist with stock, product information, and general showroom/operational duties. • Learn how to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products under the guidance of experienced team members. • Build relationships with customers and develop professional communication skills. • Stay up to date with new products and developments within the shooting and reloading industry. • Take initiative to learn product and industry knowledge. • Work closely with experienced members of the team to learn the business and identify opportunities for future career progression. Requirements • Grade 12. • Genuine passion or strong interest in shooting, hunting, outdoor sporting, firearms, or reloading. • Willingness to start at junior level and learn the business from the ground up. • Strong willingness to learn and develop. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Confident and approachable personality. • Sales-driven and commercially minded. • Good computer literacy. • Strong attention to detail. • Reliable, hardworking, and eager to take on responsibility. • Ability to work well within a team. • Previous sales, retail, or customer service experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
