Redwood Credit Union is seeking a Dealer Relationship Officer who under limited supervision will cultivate and maintain effective dealer relationships. Market new and existing dealers, participate in the development and growth of the indirect lending program, assist in auto brokering program and other programs to support the Consumer Lending department. Work closely with Consumer Lending Indirect Manager in organizing, developing, implementing, and training in all indirect lending functions.
Key Responsibilities
Dealer Sales & Relationship Management:
o Arrange weekly dealer visits to discuss and sell RCU loan products, services, build auto brokering relationships and add dealers to Dealer Service program.
o Assist in developing overall plan for dealers to have a full relationship with Redwood Credit Union and RCU Auto Services including loans, auto sales brokering and service functions.
o Communicate policy, product, and pricing changes with dealers to ensure quality Member service.
o Educate dealers regarding lending decisions to ensure dealer network adheres to RCU policy and procedures.
o Organize joint auto sales promotions with dealers to strengthen dealer relations.
o Supply dealers with updated rate sheets and marketing materials as required.
o Assemble and Manage “Preferred Dealer” group to maximize loan growth and dealer relationships.
o Formulate and monitor dealer satisfaction surveys to ensure superior Member service.
o Arrange dealer recognition events for top producing dealers on a monthly or quarterly basis.
o Ensure confidentiality and safeguard sensitive Member financial information.
o Provide exceptional service to all Members, dealers, volunteers, internal team members and service providers.

Product Development & System Improvement:
o Train and educate all staff on the fundamentals of indirect lending and requirements to obtain a loan with RCU.
o Perform branch visits to assist with training needs of all staff members.
o Analyze indirect lending program products, processes, and workflows and propose changes to maintain maximum efficiency.
o Communicate matters regarding changing auto trends and rate from dealer feedback.
o Collect and analyze other financial institution lending program information to assist in additional enhancements to RCU program.
o Perform branch visits to assist with training needs of all staff members.
o Analyze indirect lending program products, processes, and workflows and propose changes to maintain maximum efficiency.
o Communicate matters regarding changing auto trends and rate from dealer feedback.
o Collect and analyze other financial institution lending program information to assist in additional enhancements to RCU program.
Other Functions:
o Research and resolve Member, dealer, or team member concerns.
o Compose reports on loan volume and service to Consumer Lending Manager on a bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma, plus a minimum of three years of experience in automobile sales or financing.
Compensation: Base starting pay: $70,304.00 annually plus commission structure.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
