Technical Tools
MarketingPerformance Marketer
If you check yesterday’s numbers before you check your messages, this one is yours.
They do not find out whether a brand works in a deck. They find out in market, with money on the line, usually within a week of launch.
ABOUT CLIENT:
Our client is in the business of building tasteful brands across categories and geographies. That could mean 0 to 1, 1 to 10, or 10 to 1000. Six months in, they are about 25 people, each one here to do the best work of our lives.
WHY THEY ARE HIRING:
Every brand we build has to earn its first thousand customers somewhere. For most of them, that somewhere is Google and Meta. You own that.
This is not a button-pushing role. You decide what gets tested, what gets killed and what gets scaled. You brief the creative you need instead of waiting for it. When the account is not working, you are the person who says so first, with the reason.
You will run several brands at once, each at a different stage. One is proving a product. One is scaling. They do not need the same account, the same budget logic or the same creative.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN:
• The accounts. Structure, audiences, bidding, budgets and pacing across Google and Meta for every brand you run. You build the account you want rather than inheriting one.
• Creative testing. The hypothesis, the variants, the read. You brief the writer and the designer, you decide what goes live, and you know the difference between a creative problem and an audience problem.
• Budget. Where the money goes, what came back, what gets cut. You defend a spend line, and you are also the one who kills your own.
• Measurement. Pixels, CAPI, events, UTMs, GA4, the attribution window you chose and why. If the data is wrong, every decision after it is wrong, and that is yours to keep clean.
• The funnel after the click. Landing pages, offers, checkout drop-off. Most spend dies in the gap between the ad and the cart, and you do not get to call that someone else’s problem.
• The honest read. CAC, ROAS, contribution margin, repeat. You own the dashboard and you report it honestly, including the weeks it looks bad.
• Scale and stop. Knowing when a winner is actually a winner, and when a promising test is a rounding error.
MUST HAVES
Skills
• Two to four years running Google and Meta with real budgets you were accountable for. D2C, agency or in-house, they care about the accounts you ran.
• Account structure you can defend. You can explain why a campaign is built the way it is in a sentence.
• You can read data and know when not to act on it. Sample size, test duration, seasonality, the difference between a signal and a bad Tuesday.
• Creative instinct. You can look at ten ads and call the winner more often than chance, and you can write a brief that gets you the eleventh.
• Tracking hygiene. Pixel and CAPI setup, event mapping, UTM discipline, GA4. You have fixed broken tracking yourself, not just flagged it.
• Sheets at a working level. Pivot a raw export, build the view you need, do not wait for a dashboard.
Additional
• Startup speed. A campaign goes live tonight, the read happens Friday. Agility without dropping the craft is the whole job.
• Comfort with ambiguity. New brands, no benchmarks, no category norms they intend to inherit.
• You can think without AI. Use the tools to move faster, never to think for you.
• Food, FMCG, beauty or anything else bought on impulse and repeat is a plus.
• You can take a note and give one. Feedback is not an insult here, and neither is a rebuild.
