As a Senior Database Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, optimizing, and scaling database solutions that support high-impact, mission-critical systems. Working closely with developers and database administrators, you'll help ensure performance, reliability, security, and availability across our cloud-based data platforms. This is an opportunity to apply your expertise in MongoDB while expanding your experience with AWS, cloud technologies, and modern database architectures. Your work will directly contribute to products that help improve the lives of people around the world through innovative healthcare technology.

Responsibilities

→Design and implement high-performance MongoDB solutions for demanding workloads.
→Manage and optimize AWS RDS MySQL/Aurora environments with a focus on scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
→Support database deployments and orchestration within Kubernetes (EKS) environments.
→Partner with developers to create efficient data models, queries, and indexing strategies.
→Manage database schema versioning and deployment processes using GitHub and Flyway.
→Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance using tools such as AWS CloudWatch and Datadog.
→Ensure data integrity, security, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness across database environments.
→Support database migrations and interoperability across different relational database platforms.

5+ years of experience with MongoDB, including architecture, development, optimization, and operations.
4+ years of experience in MySQL development and administration.
Hands-on experience with AWS RDS and/or Aurora.
Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) and containerized deployments.
Experience using GitHub-based version control and CI/CD workflows.
Strong database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and query optimization skills.
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) practices.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of database security, disaster recovery, and data migration practices.

Nice to Have

Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines for database changes.
Familiarity with additional AWS services such as Lambda, CloudWatch, or IAM.
