The Demand Generation Manager is responsible for building, executing, and optimizing B2B acquisition programs that generate qualified restaurant leads, improve funnel visibility, and move prospects from awareness to opportunity through measurable campaign performance.
This role owns full-funnel campaign and acquisition strategy across paid, email, SEO/content, and targeted outbound support, with clear accountability for lead quality, conversion, source performance, reporting, and demand generation outcomes across all channels. The Demand Generation Manager also collaborates closely with sales teams, and inside & outside sales leadership to share performance insights, strengthen lead follow-up, identify conversion opportunities, and ensure marketing efforts are aligned to revenue priorities.
Responsibilities

- →Build and optimize nurture strategies that move restaurant prospects through the funnel, including audience segmentation, message testing, lead scoring inputs, and coordinated handoff points with sales development and sales teams.
- →Manage digital advertising efforts, including paid advertising, SEO, and organic content, with accountability for budget pacing, performance optimization, and lead quality.
- →Develop and execute short- and long-term marketing campaigns in partnership with marketing strategy, creative, content, product, and channel teams.
- →Lead demand generation follow-up strategy for trade shows and events, including post-event acquisition planning, sales enablement, lead routing, and performance reporting.
- →Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional workflows to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and aligned to business objectives.
- →Monitor prospect database health, lead source performance, SDR handoff processes, and speed-to-lead effectiveness to improve funnel movement and source attribution clarity.
- →Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance using Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Domo, and other reporting inputs; build clear reporting views and insights for marketing and sales leadership, and provide recommendations to improve conversion, engagement, ROI, pipeline influence, and MQL-to-opportunity-to-deal movement.
- →Use A/B testing, conversion analysis, and closed-loop reporting to refine demand generation strategies and improve campaign efficiency over time.
- →Ensure consistent brand messaging across channels, including sales enablement materials, campaign assets, event follow-up, prospect communications, and SDR talk tracks that support clear, timely follow-up.
- →Collaborate confidently with sales professionals, cross-functional partners, and executive stakeholders to align demand generation priorities, communicate performance insights, and support revenue growth.
- →Develop and test audience, offer, and message strategies to identify what drives the strongest restaurant lead quality, conversion rates, and campaign efficiency across priority segments.
Requirements
~2 min read- Deep understanding of the restaurant industry, specifically the business of restaurants.
- Exceptional ability to bring clarity to complex business situations, apply frameworks to simplify a message, and define the appropriate story and analysis to clearly communicate an outcome.
- Demonstrated experience creating clear, sophisticated communication materials, including presentations, customer-facing summaries, analysis, and insights.
- Demonstrated ability to ramp quickly into ambiguous, in-flight programs and operate independently within days or weeks, not months.
- Strong test-and-learn mindset with experience designing experiments, interpreting results, and translating performance insights into clear campaign recommendations.
- Experience with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce; marketing automation tools, preferably Marketing Cloud; analytics software, preferably Domo; and AI tools, preferably Glean.
- Works as an integral part of the Restaurant Marketing team.
- Partners closely with analysts in Finance and Data Science to understand performance trends, assess campaign efficiency, support forecasting, and communicate insights that inform demand generation decisions.
- Partners closely with the Creative Marketing team to ensure all materials meet brand guidelines and maximize current creative.
- Partners closely with sales leadership to understand highest-priority customers and their specific business needs.
- Collaborates closely with internal sales development representatives and outside sales teams to assess how messaging is working, identify lead-quality trends, improve follow-up processes, align campaign strategy, and optimize the lead-to-customer conversion process.
Education, Certifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 5+ years of experience in demand generation, digital marketing, or a similar role, preferably in a B2B or agency setting, with at least 3+ years managing paid ads on Google and Meta; hands-on experience with campaign setup, audience segmentation, optimization, and performance reporting required; LinkedIn experience is a nice-to-have.
Comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
- This is a full-time, exempt position and the base compensation for this opening in Chicago is expected to be $115,000-$125,000 annualized, depending on level, candidate experience, skills, and other factors. This position will be eligible for an annual bonus program with a 10% bonus target for total at target of $126,500-$137,500.
