Senior Accountant (Hybrid)

This is a hybrid position and requires in office presence three days a week in Chicago (Tuesday-Thursday) 

• →Performing monthly and fiscal year-end close activities by performing timely and accurate journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate.
• →Preparing and analyzing financial statements, general ledgers, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
• →Owns performing account and bank statement reconciliations. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• →Assisting with the preparation and monitoring of budgets, as well as forecasting future expenditures. 
• →Supporting a variety of external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
• →May lead accounts payable process to ensure proper coding and receipt of all invoices.
• →Continually seeking and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology and process improvements.
• →Other duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements.

• A bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience in accounting.
• Demonstrates strong technical accounting skills and an advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy.
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Managing a high volume of tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication is important for interacting with internal and external contacts.
• Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), standards and regulation.

• This is a full time, exempt position, and the base compensation for this opening is expected to be $90,000-$110,000 annualized, depending on level, candidate experience, skills and other factors. This position is eligible for a 7.5% bonus with a total compensation of $96,750-$118,250.
