DevOps & Database Engineer

As a DevOps & Database Engineer  at Rimes, you will play a dual role in managing cloud infrastructure and optimizing database performance that underpins our global financial data platform. You will be equally responsible for building reliable Azure-based DevOps pipelines and ensuring the scalability, performance, and integrity of our financial data systems. You’ll collaborate closely with consultants, engineers, and product teams to drive automation, improve system reliability, and deliver high-performing data services at scale.

Azure Devops Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to enable efficient and reliable deployments.
• Partner with development teams to support application releases, environment management, and post-release monitoring.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across infrastructure and applications.
• Drive automation and standardization of deployment and operational processes.

• →Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting in SQL Server and Azure SQL environments.
• →Design and implement indexing, partitioning, and data distribution strategies to improve performance and scalability.
• →Collaborate on optimizing data pipelines and workflows for large-scale financial datasets.
• →Conduct capacity planning and ensure database high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness.
• →Monitor database health, resolve anomalies, and maintain data integrity across systems.
• →Partner with internal teams and external data providers to validate data processes and improve data quality.

• 3–4 years of experience in  Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, SQL Server/Azure SQL.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and IaC tools (Bicep, PowerShell, Azure CLI).
• Solid expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and partitioning.
• Experience supporting production systems with monitoring tools (e.g., App Insights or similar).
• Proficiency in scripting for automation (PowerShell, Python, or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of .NET (C#) and application deployment is a plus.
• Amenable to do 2x-3x a week onsite work.
