About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join to lead the Rippling’s IN/SG (India/Singapore) Payroll Engineering Team by bringing in vision in collaboration with product and fellow engineers.. This team is responsible for managing the complete IN/SG payroll process, including onboarding, tax calculation, payroll calculations, integration with third party systems for filings, POI handling, generating challans etc. The team collaborates with various cross-organizational functions like HRIS, PTO, Benefits, and Pension, as well as global payroll platform teams. Requirements

5-7 years of professional experience in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Experience building large-scale platforms for web applications.
Experience in leading the projects that span across multiple teams and require cross functional collaboration.
Experience mentoring and leading a small team of engineers.
Expertise in Python and Django is a must-have.
Familiarity with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
Strong grasp of CS fundamentals — data structures, algorithms, and system design basics.
Comfortable debugging and troubleshooting independently.
Bonus: Exposure to frontend development (JavaScript) is a plus.
