You will own the full lifecycle of our short-term rental tax accounts, onboarding new properties, filing returns, and keeping every state, county, and town account current.

RISE Collective manages sales tax, lodging tax, and hotel occupancy tax (HOT) compliance for STR properties across multiple companies and dozens of jurisdictions. Each property can carry its own registration, filing frequency, and rate, and OTA platforms collect some of those taxes on our behalf and remit others back to us. Keeping that straight is the job.

This role talks directly to county and state revenue offices, to homeowners, and to our internal accounting team. If you like untangling jurisdictional rules and running a clean calendar, you will do well here.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who is comfortable managing tax compliance across a large number of accounts and jurisdictions while keeping filings, registrations, documentation, and deadlines organized and accurate.

In your first 90 days: you know every jurisdiction we file in, you have verified the filing calendar against each account's actual frequency, and no return has gone out late. You have also built a strong understanding of how taxes are being collected and remitted across the portfolio and can identify and help resolve discrepancies when they arise.

By six months: onboarding and offboarding a property's tax accounts is a documented process you own, open notices are cleared, and OTA collections reconcile cleanly to what we remit.

This is a seat with real ownership. You are not one filer on a large tax team, you are the person who makes sure a growing STR portfolio stays compliant in every market it operates in.
