We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and people-focused Director of Management to help lead our management organization and strengthen the systems, culture, and performance standards that support continued growth.
The Director of Management is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the effectiveness and development of Rise AMG's management team. This individual will work closely with executive leadership to translate company strategy into operational priorities, establish clear accountability, develop managers and leaders, and ensure teams consistently execute against organizational goals.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional people leader who can operate strategically while remaining close to day-to-day business operations. They should be comfortable managing managers, building organizational systems, solving complex problems, and creating a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Lead, coach, and develop managers and department leaders across Rise AMG.
- Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability structures for management teams.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and leadership resource for managers throughout the organization.
- Identify leadership gaps and create development plans to strengthen the management pipeline.
- Promote a culture centered on ownership, accountability, professionalism, and high performance.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between departments and leadership levels.
- Partner with executive leadership to establish and execute organizational priorities.
- Translate company goals into measurable departmental and individual objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators and management performance to identify opportunities, risks, and areas requiring intervention.
- Develop and implement management processes that improve productivity, efficiency, and consistency.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and lead initiatives to resolve them.
- Ensure managers have the resources, information, and support necessary to achieve their objectives.
- Build and maintain leadership development programs for current and emerging managers.
- Establish consistent performance-management practices across the organization.
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
- Help attract, retain, and develop high-performing employees.
- Partner with leadership and HR on employee engagement, retention, performance, and organizational development initiatives.
- Reinforce Rise AMG's values and ensure they are reflected in management practices and employee experiences.
- Work with executive leadership to turn strategic initiatives into actionable plans.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that require coordination among multiple departments.
- Maintain visibility into organizational priorities, deadlines, and execution.
- Anticipate organizational challenges and proactively develop solutions.
- Help build scalable systems and processes that support Rise AMG's continued growth.
- Establish regular management reporting and leadership communication rhythms.
- Ensure managers communicate priorities and expectations effectively to their teams.
- Address performance issues promptly and constructively.
- Provide executive leadership with clear insight into organizational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Promote transparency and accountability at every level of management.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive management or leadership experience, with demonstrated success managing managers or multiple teams.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization.
- Strong understanding of organizational management, performance management, and leadership development.
- Proven ability to build and implement scalable processes and systems.
- Demonstrated success developing managers and high-performing teams.
- Strong business judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Experience leading a rapidly growing organization or business unit.
- Experience building management systems, KPIs, performance dashboards, or accountability frameworks.
- Experience with organizational development, leadership training, or talent management.
- Experience working directly with executive leadership.
- Demonstrated success leading organizational change or transformation initiatives.
