The Colorado Qualifying House is a Residential Treatment Center that provides male youth ages 18-20 with opportunities for positive growth through evidence-based interventions and innovative programming. With a deep commitment to improving the lives of youth and families, our program model has been developed with a focus on promoting positive change and goal attainment. The Colorado Qualifying House program subscribes to the four principles of effective intervention: risk assessment, addressing needs, providing individualized treatment, and ensuring fidelity. By following these core principles, Colorado Qualifying House guides youth behavior in positive directions while reducing recidivism risk.

What you will do: The primary responsibilities of a Youth Mentor are to provide safety and around-the-clock supervision of at-risk youth. This position provides for the physical, personal and health needs of each student through individual counseling and behavioral/social/physical and educational skill development and provides an atmosphere that is supportive of the needs of the students.

To be considered you should:

✓Must be a local resident!

✓Have reliable transportation and be able to drive in winter conditions.

✓High School Diploma with at least one year experience working with youth. Bachelor's degree or working toward applicable degree.

✓Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.

✓Have a desire to work with troubled teens and at least 1 year of direct care experience with juveniles.

✓Be at least 21 years of age.

✓Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
