CNA/PCA - Med Surg - Labor Pool

12 hour shifts

*Please note you must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible: hold a CNA / hold an EMT-B license / completed an MA program / Currently enrolled in a Nursing Program with at least 80+ hours of clinical completed.

• →Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of the technology systems necessary for patient data collection into EMR.
• →Demonstrates the ability to follow plan of care to include performing treatments and procedures competently/independently under direction of RN. This may include the following procedures dependent upon unit/facility competency requirements vital signs, ice application, compresses, EKGs, drawing blood, specimen collection, etc.
• →Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• →Demonstrates accountability for ensuring availability of resources (equipment, instruments, supplies) necessary to ensure positive patient outcomes. Maintains clean, safe and orderly work/patient environment by cleaning work stations/areas, equipment; stocking supplies; placing equipment in proper storage areas.
• →Demonstrates the ability to be able to take direction from the charge nurse to help admit, discharge, or transfer patients in a timely and efficient manner.

• High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)

• 1 year Prior health care experience in hospital setting (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications: Must meet at least one of these requirements.

•  Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Virginia Department of Health Professions Upon Hire (Required) OR
•  EMT-B (Basic), Virginia Department of Health Professions or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Upon Hire (Required) OR
•  Medical Assistant Program Graduate Upon Hire (Required) OR
•  Currently enrolled in LPN or RN Nursing diploma or degree program with 80 hours completed Upon Hire (Required)
   
• BLS required upon hire.
