Fabrication Sourcing Manager

$120,000–$130,000 + Annual Incentive Bonus Eligibility

As the Fabrication Sourcing Manager, you’ll build and manage a strong network of fabrication and manufacturing partners across Colorado, the Mountain West, and the United States. You’ll serve as a key resource for evaluating subcontract fabrication capabilities, developing strategic partnerships, and connecting RK with the right fabrication resources for current and future projects. Through relationship building, industry networking, and regular facility visits, you’ll develop a deep understanding of each partner’s capabilities, capacity, quality, equipment, scheduling, and areas of specialization.

• →Build, maintain, and expand a network of qualified fabrication and manufacturing partners while developing strong relationships with owners, executives, estimators, operations leaders, and production teams.
• →Evaluate fabrication partners through facility visits, assessing equipment, technology, production capacity, workforce capabilities, welding qualifications, quality systems, safety performance, logistics, automation, lead times, and delivery capabilities.
• →Develop and maintain detailed market intelligence on partner capabilities, certifications, capacity, equipment, specialties, and operational strengths to support informed partner selection.
• →Identify and develop new strategic partnerships proactively, ensuring RK has qualified fabrication resources available as project opportunities arise.
• →Serve as the internal subject matter expert on the subcontract fabrication market, providing recommendations based on project requirements, capabilities, location, capacity, scheduling, quality, and cost.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• At least 5 years of working knowledge and understanding of pipe and/or structural steel fabrication shop operations, from fabrication through quality control and final inspection.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to quickly develop trust and credibility with owners, executives, and operations leaders.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with experience conducting outreach, cold calls, networking, and negotiations.
• Technical aptitude to evaluate fabrication capabilities and the ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
