Responsibilities:

• Offers spiritual support to patients, families and staff during on-call shifts and when covering the on-call pager during the day.
• Follows-up on all referrals that might be left from the day shift and the Consult List in eRecord.
• Communicates and collaborates effectively with members of the interdisciplinary team in relation to patient/family support.
• Documents spiritual assessment and interventions in the patient’s medical record.
• Assists in orienting new CPE students.
• Other duties as assigned

• Master's degree in Div from an accredited seminary and one unit of ACPE/Clinical Pastoral Education required
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working in a team based environment required

• Ability to be a source of spiritual support to patients and their families required (e.g. partners and significant others)
• Ability to use technology in writing patient notes required (complete ongoing hospital training, and have experience working in a team based environment)

• Board Certification as a chaplain with APC, NACC or NAJC. (Preferred)
