Responsibilities:

• →

  Patrol University areas to ensure safety and report any hazards

• →

  Respond to security calls for building access, safety escorts, or equipment issues

• →

  Support campus events with access control and crowd management

• →

  Monitor and report on campus safety systems, like emergency phones and cameras

• →

  Collaborate with local law enforcement as needed

• Strong observational and surveillance skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Calm under pressure

• Basic knowledge of security procedures

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid NYS driver’s license and must not have had license suspended in the past three (3) years in accordance with University Safe Driver Program

• Ability to handle foot patrols and stationary assignments

• Successful completion of an extensive background check, physical, and drug screen

• Previous security experience is preferred
