About the Role
~1 min readOur client is a rapidly expanding e-commerce and logistics business with operations across multiple African markets. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to strengthen their sales team in Ghana with some Telesales Representatives.
This is a target-driven role for people who are confident speaking with customers, comfortable making inbound and outbound calls, and able to turn conversations and leads into sales.
The role is based in Madina, Accra, Ghana, and candidates must be fully able and willing to work from the office Monday to Saturday.
We are particularly interested in candidates with at least 6–12 months of previous telesales experience who can demonstrate strong communication, persuasion and sales skills.
Candidates must be available to start immediately or within a maximum of 1–2 weeks.

- Are you currently based in Accra, Ghana, able and willing to work from the office in Madina six days per week, Monday to Saturday, and do you have the right to work in Ghana without visa sponsorship, with the ability to provide evidence if required?

- Are you comfortable working in a target-driven sales environment where your performance will be measured against sales, conversion and upselling/cross-selling KPIs?

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Make inbound and outbound sales calls to prospective and existing customers.
- →Advise customers and confidently persuade them to make purchases using company-provided data and insights.
- →Communicate effectively with customers through telephone calls and chats.
- →Build trust and maintain positive customer relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat purchases.
- →Follow up consistently with interested customers and leads to close sales.
- →Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets, including revenue, confirmed-order and upsell/cross-sell targets.
- →Handle customer objections professionally and work to turn them into sales opportunities.
- →Escalate complex customer issues when necessary.
- →Identify appropriate opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products or services.
- →Accurately record customer information and telesales activity within the company's CRM and systems.
- →Prepare daily, weekly and monthly activity reports.
- →Meet required daily, weekly and monthly call and conversion targets.
- →Follow established sales procedures, scripts and customer service standards.
- →Actively participate in team discussions and contribute ideas to improve sales performance and customer experience.
- At least 6–12 months of previous telesales experience.
- Strong sales skills with the confidence to engage customers and convert leads.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong persuasion, negotiation and objection-handling abilities.
- Confident speaking with prospective and existing customers by telephone.
- Good command of English; knowledge of local Ghanaian languages is an advantage.
- Customer-focused with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Commercially minded and motivated by achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Comfortable working against individual sales KPIs and performance targets.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Able to accurately use CRM or customer management systems.
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment.
Candidates should also have access to a laptop or PC in good working condition, noise-cancelling headphones suitable for professional customer calls, and a stable and reliable internet connection.
