As a Physician Assistant in Palliative Care, you’ll provide consultative and follow-up care to hospitalized patients at Rochester General Hospital. You’ll work closely with patients and families navigating serious and complex illness, with a focus on symptom management, goals of care, and individualized treatment planning.

This is a highly collaborative, team-oriented department with close partnership across social work, spiritual care, nursing, clinicians, pharmacy, and other specialties involved in patient care.

Palliative care, hospice, inpatient medicine, or other relevant clinical experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
Compassionate, patient- and family-focused approach
Strong communication skills and comfort navigating complex or sensitive conversations
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary inpatient team

→Patient Care. Provide palliative care consultations and follow-up services to hospitalized patients with serious and complex illnesses
→Symptom Management. Assess and manage pain and other symptoms with a focus on patient comfort and quality of life
→Patient & Family Support. Provide education, guidance, and support to patients and families surrounding goals of care and treatment decisions
