Position Title: Driver

Position Summary:

Redefining the Future Network (RTFNetwork) is seeking a reliable, professional, and compassionate Driver to assist with transporting clients to and from appointments, programs, and services. The Driver plays a vital role in supporting client access to behavioral health services by ensuring safe, timely, and courteous transportation. Candidates must prioritize client safety, confidentiality, and dignity at all times while representing RTFNetwork’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport clients to and from scheduled appointments, program activities, and other approved destinations.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of clients during transit, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Maintain a professional, respectful, and supportive environment for all clients during transport.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure that vehicles are clean, safe, and properly maintained.
• Communicate any scheduling changes, delays, or incidents to the appropriate supervisor immediately.
• Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle, if needed.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs, including pick-up/drop-off times and client attendance.
• Follow confidentiality protocols in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings related to transportation and client services.
• Other duties assigned by the supervisor. 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Maryland driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience preferred (transporting clients in healthcare or behavioral health settings is a plus).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to professionalism, client safety, and confidentiality.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds if needed (assisting clients with mobility challenges).
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with individuals with mental health, developmental, or physical disabilities.
• Familiarity with Baltimore City and surrounding areas.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Primarily driving between client homes, RTFNetwork offices, and community locations.
• Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.
• Must maintain flexibility to accommodate client needs, which may include occasional evening or weekend hours.
