Transforming our most foundational sectors of society is hard. Very hard. But we’re building an empire. And empire building is not easy. It’s deeply fulfilling, and you will learn and grow tremendously while driving sustainable impact globally with some of the largest players that make everything we eat, use, and wear. Our culture is to foster extraordinary growth within our teammates. We believe in autonomy, ownership, empowerment, demanding excellence, being mission-driven. Laminar is entering a period of rapid, high-stakes growth and we need someone who can build the engine that fuels it.

We’re hiring a Talent Engine Specialist (i.e. Technical Recruiter) who thrives in fast-moving environments and is energized by the challenge of scaling teams quickly—without compromising quality, culture, or experience. This is not a plug-and-play recruiting role. You’ll own the full talent lifecycle and play a critical role in shaping the team, the culture, and how Laminar grows.

At Laminar, we’re transforming factory operations through automation, data intelligence, and sustainability. The people you bring in—and how you bring them in—will directly define our trajectory.

You’ll run high-volume, high-impact recruiting across technical and business roles, while also building the systems behind onboarding, performance, and retention so every new hire hits the ground running and contributes at a high level.

This role reports to the Head of Operations and partners closely with leadership, including the Co-Founders. It’s ideal for someone who wants to move fast, take ownership, and build a world-class team from the ground up.

Full-cycle recruiting across engineering, data, deployments, customer support, and business roles
Pipeline generation that doesn’t rely on inbound—you’ll creatively source, engage, and close top talent
Recruiting marketing, partnerships, and employer brand development (universities, communities, networks)
Delivering a best-in-class candidate experience that reflects Laminar’s ambition and culture

Partnering deeply with hiring managers to define roles, raise the bar, and move quickly
Reinforcing a culture of high performance and high talent density
Helping leadership make strong hiring decisions—and tough calls when needed

Onboarding & Employee Experience

Designing and continuously improving onboarding so new hires ramp quickly and feel connected to the mission
Building a measurable onboarding framework with clear 30/60/90-day performance and integration milestones
Creating systems that ensure people succeed, grow, and stay engaged

Building scalable recruiting and People Ops systems (including HRIS implementation)
Supporting org chart design and team structure as we scale
Contributing to compensation design and competitive incentivization strategies
Helping implement performance management, feedback cycles, and (when necessary) exits

Retention & Culture

Developing strategies to retain top performers and maintain a high-performing, mission-driven culture
Acting as a cultural steward—ensuring we not only hire great people, but build an environment where they thrive
