Department Manager - Tools/Hardware/Plumbing - Watford City, ND

Runnings is looking for a motivated, hands-on leader to join our team as a Tools, Hardware, Plumbing & Electrical Department Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of the store's most active and customer-driven departments while helping homeowners, contractors, farmers, ranchers, and DIY enthusiasts find the products they need to get the job done.

• →Lead the merchandising and presentation of tools, hardware, plumbing, and electrical products.
• →Coordinate the placement and distribution of new merchandise within the department.
• →Maintain accurate inventory levels and strong in-stock conditions.
• →Deliver outstanding customer service and assist customers with product selection and purchases.
• →Provide product knowledge and recommendations to help customers complete projects safely and successfully.
• →Partner with Retail Buyers to identify inventory needs and product opportunities.
• →Train, mentor, and support department team members.
• →Monitor pricing, signage, merchandising standards, and department appearance.
• →Ensure safe handling, storage, and display of merchandise.
• →Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department.
• →Support overall store operations and additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of tools, hardware, plumbing, electrical, fasteners, shop supplies, home improvement products, or related categories preferred.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail, hardware, construction, maintenance, home improvement, farm and ranch, or customer service experience preferred.
• Prior leadership, supervisory, or department management experience is a plus.

• Retail store environment.
• Active, fast-moving setting with frequent customer interaction.
• Exposure to tools, hardware, plumbing, electrical, and seasonal merchandise.
