We are a busy, close-knit family with three children and a lifestyle that keeps us on the go. We homeschool and travel extensively throughout the year, often spending several days at a time on the road for work and family adventures. When we are home, we love being outside, swimming, biking, walking, reading, listening to podcasts, playing games, and simply spending time together. We are also foster parents and welcome children into our home for short-term placements as often as we can. Our home can get loud and chaotic as it is a gathering space for friends, family, and neighbors, but we try to keep it intentionally calm, clean and full of fun. We value family connection, healthy living, hard work, humility, and independence.
With full professional lives, kids home during the day, and an active household, we are looking for someone who can take ownership of the many small details that keep everything running well. Whether it's coordinating a vendor, renewing a passport, preparing the home for our return from travel, keeping supplies stocked, or noticing that something needs attention before it becomes a problem, we want someone who can take the mental load off our plates so we can spend more time together as a family.
We are a welcoming and inclusive family, and our home is often filled with extended family, friends, and children with different needs and backgrounds. We hope to find someone who is warm, lighthearted, active, and comfortable becoming a genuine part of family life while understanding the importance of maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Above all, we are looking for a trusted long-term partner who cares about the people and home they support.
You are a highly capable household professional who naturally notices what needs to be done and takes care of it without waiting to be asked. You are organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented. You are equally comfortable working independently in the home while we travel as you are with a house full of kids, grandparents, and lots of love. You have excellent common sense, exercise sound judgment, and value privacy and discretion. You are willing to research an unfamiliar question, find the right solution, coordinate the details, and follow through to completion.
You are also someone who enjoys people and family life. You are active, playful, open-minded, and able to laugh, join a family dance party, or an outdoor adventure with the kids while still knowing when to step back and work independently. You understand that the children are capable participants in the work of the household, rather than simply recipients of care and service. You enjoy working alongside them, encouraging age-appropriate responsibility, and becoming another trusted adult in their lives.
You are someone who takes pride in bringing fresh ideas to the table, especially when it comes to helping us on our journey toward cleaner living. You enjoy researching and presenting new-to-us solutions for air and water filtration and other effective clean products that support a healthier home. You are also happy to support our passion for giving back and supporting small businesses in our community whenever we can. Most importantly, you are seeking a long-term role where you can become a trusted and valued presence in our family’s life.
