The Saltmine platform connects and improves the entire process by which workplace strategy, programming, test-fitting and design are performed. We’ve transformed what is traditionally a linear, expensive and time-consuming undertaking into a seamless cloud-based platform that uses analytics and contextual collaboration to enable our clients to select real estate and deliver spaces on time and on budget.
We are a global team of 120 employees with offices in San Francisco, Washington DC, Singapore, Budapest & Vietnam and are growing quickly and looking for talented professionals to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Work under the guidance of the team lead on individual or team projects.
- Mainly tasked with our Japanese clients’ projects to provide support to customers and PM/CS teams
- Interpret architectural drawings in both 2D and 3D formats using industry-standard software like AutoCAD, or Revit.
- Utilize Saltmine platform to convert building designs into 2D and 3D visualizations for clients using your understanding of architectural drawings.
- Convert client guidelines into a live library for space/room block, product & material on Saltmine platform to be ready for them to use in their design.
- Create twin-digitized 3D models of layout plans and buildings based on construction drawings, images, or videos.
- Collaborate with the team lead to analyze client input to make informed design decisions for various architectural aspects, including existing building condition, portfolio, twin digitization, client block and product/material library, testfitting.
- Find and produce high-quality images of external scenes that are relevant to the project’s location.
- Work closely with other interior design teams, 3D modeling team, catalog team to ensure seamless project completion.
- Systematically saving, keeping the folder organized.
- On-going customer support: provide support to current customers and get them familiar with Saltmine following our own processes.
- Manage project timelines and team resources to ensure deliverables are met within deadlines.
- Maintain quality control for both your own work and that of junior/ supporting team members.
- Assisting the team lead in training others on complex workflow processes.
- Support your team lead to document and develop the design team’s workflow processes.
- Prepare and participate in knowledge sharing sessions with your team lead and other design teams.
- Provide feedback and technical support to other team members and design teams.
- Monitor your own performance against established OKRs, task velocity and workflows, seek for feedback from your seniors and team lead.
- Participate in product development by providing feedback on Saltmine tools and assisting the team lead in assessing the impact of product updates on current workflows.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor/ College or Vocational degree related to Architecture, Interior Design.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience. Candidates with office design experience will be preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Autocad software (intermediate level).
- Eagerness to work within a collaborative team environment on a number of projects.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, 3Ds Max, or other relevant design software is a plus.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of construction drawing principles and practices.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of materials and products used in Interior Design.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent understanding of zoning principles, diagrams, trends in office design.
- Ability to quickly master the Saltmine app, ideally within 4 months of starting the job.
- Soft Skills:
- Able to speak, read and write in Japanese (from N3) is a must
- Adapts quickly to new information and challenges.
