Energy Assistance Services Finance Assistant

• →Supports the EAS Finance Manager, participating in fiscal planning for the EAS program
• →Prepares, analyzes and reviews financial reports for direct EAS bill payments, using generally accepted accounting principles
• →Issues checks, records payments to client accounts or organizational ledgers, and assists with compliance auditing of payment requests
• →Verifies and pays invoices, executes checks, reconciles balances and maintains records
• →Sets up and maintains vendors or suppliers in the accounting systems
• →Helps maintain data completeness and quality of financial data
• →Perform other duties as assigned

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience in related field
• Experience with low-income populations (preferred)

• Adherence to professional code of ethics
• Maintain confidentiality and obtain appropriate releases of information
• Familiarity with Salvation Army policies and procedures
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint.
• Willingness to learn new software as needed.

• Complete Safe From Harm training and keep current as needed.
