South Bend Kroc Center - Welcome Desk Associate

Be the friendly face that welcomes every guest to the Kroc Center! As a Welcome Desk Associate, you will provide exceptional customer service, assist members and visitors, answer questions, and help create a warm, positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

As the Welcome Desk Associate I you will be responsible for creating exceptional customer services experiences. Primary responsibilities include selling and/or verifying membership’s program registrations as well as providing facility information, answering, and routing all incoming phone calls, ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out.

• →Provide world class customer service to the community by building lasting relationships so support membership retention through exceptional service and follow up, with an attitude of Christian hospitality
• →Perform point of sales (POS) transactions at the Welcome Desk.
• →Be an ambassador for the Kroc Center by giving tours, promoting the center and selling memberships.
• →Maintain progressive knowledge of all programs and facilities.
• →Enter all membership information accurately and in timely manner.
• →Follow all policies and procedures for the Welcome desk and POS system
• →Other tasks as assigned by leadership

• Able to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership, field personnel, and clientele.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems.

• Good speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity
• Lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials up to 25 pounds
• May require bending, squatting, walking.
• May require standing for extended periods.
