The Clinical Innovation Lead leads the clinical function within Digital Health Research and is the single point of clinical accountability for the organization, spanning early research through late development. The role sets the clinical standards that other functions build against and directs the physicians and clinical consultants who apply those standards across programs.

This is a practicing physician who brings clinical, technical, product, interpersonal, and translational expertise. Unlike an embedded individual contributor, this role owns clinical capacity as a resource: it decides which programs receive clinical depth, at what intensity, and by whom. It reports directly to the Head of Digital Health Research alongside the other function leads, and it grows the clinical team as the breadth of clinical areas supported by DHT expands.

• →Manage a team of physicians and clinical consultants supporting DHR, with dotted line to the programs they are embedded in.
• →Advise on clinical and physiologic endpoint criteria at biosensor and algorithm maturity gates.
• →Advise on any feature that makes or implies a health claim, whether it originates in Digital Health Research or in Product. Research that transitions into Product carries its clinical requirements with it, and the Head of Clinical Science remains the accountable clinical reviewer through launch.
• →Advise on intended use, indications, and clinical claims language before external release, in partnership with Regulatory Affairs and Quality.

• MD with expertise in technical innovation and data science, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• 14+ years combined clinical practice and device/digital health work experience
• 3+ years in patient care with focus on lifestyle and preventative medicine
• Experience building or deploying products within healthcare, digital health, or consumer health applications
• Excellent understanding of human physiology in conditions across health and wellness
• Experience working with or advising digital health focused startups
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with experience working across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Clinical teams
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
