Assistant Director, Office of Mental Health (Clinician Training/Supervision)

As an assistant director for the office of mental health (clinical training/supervision), you will train other clinicians or interns and provide comprehensive mental health services to university students in individual and group counseling settings. An emphasis will be placed on training responsibilities. You will consult with various internal departments, maintain an active caseload of students, and provide students with community referrals as needed. Responsibilities include the development and presentation of outreach and psychoeducational programs, the timely documentation of student contact in a computerized system, and participation in quarterly student orientations. You will also perform crisis intervention duties as assigned when on call. Additional responsibilities include participation in department improvement initiatives and the preparation of PRs for supervisor approvals.

In this role, you will manage a personal schedule and update the master and computerized schedule as needed. You will inform your supervisor of staff development needs and assist the director with planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical programs, procedures, and services. Among other duties, you will manage caseload assignments, schedules, compliances, and report requirements. You will also lead, develop, and evaluate on-ground outreach, prevention, and educational programs, participating in strategic planning and quality improvement.
