Temporary Theater Events Coordinator

As a temporary theater events coordinator, you’ll assist staff in managing events at Trustees Theater and Lucas Theatre for the Arts, SCAD Savannah’s premier venues for performances, screenings, and talks. Trustees Theater, located on Broughton Street., is a state-of-the-art historic landmark dating back to Hollywood's golden age. Lucas Theatre for the Arts is an architectural marvel nestled around the corner from its counterpart in downtown Savannah.

To support the theater team, you’ll:
• Assist the executive director with the daily operations of SCAD theaters and festivals
• Manage calendars for both theaters
• Manage rental and in-house requests
• Coordinate all meeting requests for the executive director and staff, including weekly staff meetings
• Coordinate event-related requests, such as tech, concessions, linens, and catering, with theater leadership

As part of this team, you’ll;
• Occasionally assist the box office manager with shift coverage
• Manage events throughout the week and during festivals
• Co-manage all travel coordination for the SCAD Savannah Film Festival and aTVFest; oversee the preparation of the festival look book for both festivals; and oversee correspondence with industry reps as directed
• Manage travel documents and itineraries

Candidates should ideally demonstrate:
• An ability to work independently
• An ability to supervise student teams
