POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Working in the Final Assembly/Electronics department. Utilizing required tools, materials, and processes to assemble and test audio speakers.
ITEMIZED DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Included but are not completely limited to those listed below. Other duties within or outside the Product Line Cell may be assigned.
Works from assembly drawings, computer generated, written and/or verbal instructions to assemble audio speakers.
Uses various hand tools including but not limited to the following:
Hot glue guns, screw drivers, plastic hammers, wrenches, pliers, cutters, soldering iron, and pneumatic drivers.
Visually scans speaker boxes or sub-assemblies for cosmetic or structural flaws. Will perform minor cosmetic fixes or route to appropriate process location for rework. Identifies defective components for tagging and segregation.
Assists production support personnel in identifying and implementing process improvements.
Performs identified preventive maintenance to tools and equipment and reports any maintenance needs to Team Leader.
Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment used.
NEEDED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: The requirements outlined in this description are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job satisfactorily.
Ability to read and comprehend both simple and moderately complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos in the English language. Ability to effectively present information and/or engage in discussion in one-on-one and small group situations with team members and other employees within the organization.
Basic High School level general math capability. Must demonstrate ability to operate Windows based PC.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Capable of engaging in individual or group problem solving activity involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
