We are looking for an Industrial Innovation Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team.
Your task will be to discover, evaluate, and implement emerging industrial technologies that can transform manufacturing operations across our EMEA production sites. You will work on cutting-edge Proof of Concepts (PoCs) in areas such as Computer Vision, Robotics, Industrial IoT, Edge Computing, MES, Smart Factory technologies and others. Working closely with manufacturing plants, technology suppliers, and startups, you will validate innovative ideas and turn them into scalable industrial solutions.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of manufacturing within Resideo by combining hands-on engineering with technology scouting and innovation leadership.
- Identify emerging technologies with potential to improve manufacturing performance
- Design, build and validate Proof of Concepts for industrial automation and digital manufacturing
- Evaluate new hardware, software, and AI technologies for production environments
- Develop rapid prototypes using industrial hardware and modern software tools
- Integrate cameras, PLCs, sensors, industrial networks and cloud platforms into functional demonstrators
- Collaborate with external technology partners, system integrators and startups
- Support transition of successful PoCs into pilot and production deployments
- Share technical knowledge and best practices across global manufacturing teams
- Travel to manufacturing sites to support innovation projects
Requirements

- Experience integrating industrial hardware and software
- Strong curiosity for new technologies and continuous learning
- Ability to rapidly prototype and solve technical challenges
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Valid driving license
- Programming experience in Python, C# or similar languages
- Exposure to one or more of the following, Computer Vision, AI, Machine Learning, Robotics, MQTT, OPC UA, PLC programming, MES or Ignition
- Curiosity and passion for innovation
- Systems thinking mindset, with the ability to understand and design interconnected solutions
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
