The Distribution Centre Manager (m/w/d) is responsible for overseeing all warehouse and distribution operations to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of goods. Located from our DC in Neuenstadt am Kocher, this role leads operational teams, manages inventory accuracy, optimises processes, ensures compliance with safety standards, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer service and business objectives.
You will be the liaise/focal point between Resideo and our 3PL partner to ensure the highest customer service standards according to KPIs and within budget.
We seek a collaborative and people-focused leader with proven experience managing a distribution centre and a strong track record of delivering products on time without compromising quality, safety, or customer service. Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) partners would be advantageous but is not essential.
JOB DUTIES:
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Promote a safe working environment through training, audits, and corrective actions
- Manage risk assessments and incident investigations
Operations Management
- Oversee daily distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, shipping, and returns
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve productivity and efficiency
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and operational staff
- Manage workforce planning, scheduling, recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labour regulations
Inventory Management
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counting and inventory control processes
- Coordinate inventory reconciliation and investigate discrepancies
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to optimise stock levels
Financial Management
- Develop and manage the distribution center operating budget
- Control labour, transportation, and operational costs while maintaining service levels
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency
Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence initiatives
- Analyse operational data and implement process improvements
- Support automation and technology implementation projects
Customer Service & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with transportation, customer service, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Resolve escalated operational issues and service disruptions
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
YOU MUST HAVE:
- In-depth experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations, with knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation, and supply chain best practices
- Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience managing large teams in a distribution centre environment
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory control processes
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

- Prior experience working with SAP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software
