Disability Support Worker

Scope is a registered provider under the NDIS and delivers a range of services including supported independent living, short term accommodation (respite), social connections, lifestyle options, therapy and employment services in over 420 service locations across Victoria and NSW.
This is a male-dominated, hands-on Supported Independent Living (SIL) home supporting four clients with physical and intellectual disabilities. The role involves physically demanding tasks and hands-on duties, including personal care, manual handling, and the use of hoists and lifters and meal time management. This site is best suited to proactive, nurturing individuals who are comfortable supporting clients with complex behaviours.
- Casual rates starting from $44.39 per hour + penalties.

- Supporting adults with complex mental health, psychosocial disabilities and intellectual and physical disabilities in an independent living model.
- Following positive behaviour support and care support plans as directed by clinical teams and site managers.
- Encouraging capacity building to enhance clients’ current skills, such as hygiene, safe relationships, domestic duties, using public transport and accessing the community safely.
- Promoting choice and control and show eagerness to participate in clients’ day to day routines, goals, and interests.
- To work well within a team and provide a positive and safe environment for our clients.
- Efficient in computer skills and report writing!
Requirements
~1 min readWe are aware there are quite a few compliance checks (listed below) for this role however, what’s important to us is that you have regular access to your own car and a P2 NSW Drivers Licence or higher and flexible availability across a 24/7 roster which may include, mornings, afternoons, split shifts, and sleepovers.
