Disability Support Worker

Scope operates Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes across Bonnell’s Bay, Morisset and Williamtown. These are robust, high‑support environments for clients with complex mental health needs, psychosocial, intellectual and physical disabilities, and in some cases, a history with the criminal justice system. Many of the individuals we support may display complex behaviours that require consistent, trauma‑informed, person‑centred support.
We are seeking long‑term, confident and dependable Support Workers who can thrive in complex settings. This role is suited to people who are:
- Comfortable supporting psychosocial clients who may display behaviours that challenge
- Resilient and adaptable, with a strong commitment to safe, person‑centred support.
- Comfortable providing personal care and hygiene assistance.
- Casual rates from $44.39 per hour + penalties

- Promote choice and control and show eagerness to participate in our clients’ day to day routines, goals, and interests.
- Follow behaviour support, restrictive practices and client care support plans as directed by clinical teams and site managers.
- Encourage capacity building to enhance clients’ current skills, such as hygiene, safe relationships, domestic duties, using public transport and accessing the community safely.
- Provide person centered active support | personal care with dignity and respect.
- To be competent in your computer/ IT skills and report writing!
Requirements
