Scope’s purpose is to create meaningful opportunities for people with disability to belong and thrive. We support people with physical, intellectual and multiple disabilities to achieve their goals. Scope is a registered provider under the NDIS and delivers a range of services including supported independent living, short term accommodation (respite), social connections, lifestyle options, therapy and employment services in over 420 service locations across Victoria and NSW.
Reporting to the Head of Clinical Practice, this role will be responsible for building capacity for Scope Operations and Service Delivery teams to support the safe and effective provision of disability related health care supports to Scope SIL (Supported Independent Living) clients.
- Provide clinical practice assessment, advice, coaching, resources and training to front line workforce to safely and effectively support clients with their DRHS and HIS requirements
- Assist frontline workforce to communicate with Health Providers to ensure comprehensive and clear care plans are in place
- Support and facilitate training for frontline workforce including competency assessments
- Provide clinical expertise to ensure training modules are accurate and effective
- Support senior leaders to ensure all tools, resources services and training are compliant with Scope policies, procedures and NDIS Practice Standards
- Registered Nurse (Division 1) with minimum 5 years’ experience within an Acute / Aged Care Setting
- AHPRA Registration and work rights
- Strong clinical experience, understanding and management of complex care needs such as dysphagia, epilepsy, bowel care, diabetes, asthma and medication management
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or working towards)
- Willingness and ability to travel across metro and regional Victoria as required (full driver’s license required)
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
