The Role Rybka Group is looking for a Mechanical Designer or Engineer to join our growing buildings team and help shape the future of sustainable, high-performance buildings.. This role is suited to experienced intermediate professionals ready to take on more responsibility, or senior engineers looking to lead and mentor within a supportive, multidisciplinary team. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will: Lead or contribute to the design of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for diverse building projects. Develop detailed designs, specifications, and technical drawings in coordination with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants. Perform system calculations, equipment selection, and energy modeling. Support project delivery from concept through construction, including site reviews and commissioning support. Mentor junior designers and contribute to the development of best practices. Qualifications Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Building Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design for buildings. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical design/calculation software. Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and sustainable design principles. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Eligible for or currently holding P.Eng. or CET designation. Experience with energy modelling, LEED, or Net Zero Project will be considered as an asset. Why Join Rybka Group? Compensation Transparency The expected compensation range for this role is $75 000 – $100 000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
