Second Baptist School is currently seeking a full-time ADMISSIONS ASSISTANT for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Position Title: Admissions Assistant
- Location: SBS Woodway
- Reports To: Director of Admissions
- Work Hours: 7:30 AM - 4 PM
- Work Calendar: Eleven Months
The admissions assistant works in conjunction with the director of admissions and the admissions team to build relationships with prospective families and community partners to attract mission-appropriate students to Second Baptist School.
Responsibilities

- →Staff and maintain the front office and lobby of the Office of Admissions.
- →Serve as lead on answering phone calls and directing guests to the office.
- →Process applicants, records, admissions decisions, new students, contracts and withdrawals and supporting documentation for each. Prepare materials for lower school evaluations.
- →Serve as the liaison to the business office for new student and enrollment financial-related tasks.
- →Coordinate plans, logistics and giveaways for all Office of Admissions tours and events.
- →Coordinate all admissions promotional materials and internal graphics projects with the Office of Communications.
- →Assist the director of admissions with special projects. Types of special projects (not limited to):
- →Connect with feeder schools - scheduling appointments or on-campus visits
- →Schedule/coordinate professional development for admissions team
- →Assist director of admissions and lower school admissions coordinator with Future Eagles Club promotion and programming
- →Contribute to the strategic vision of the Office of Admissions.
- →Contribute to and participate in all Office of Admissions prospective and new student/family events. (Approximately 1-2 admissions and school events per month.)
- →Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
To perform this job successfully, candidates must:
- Possess a strong desire to serve in a Christian college preparatory school.
- Have 3-5 years independent/private school or college admissions experience or comparable event planning, advancement, fundraising, marketing or communications experience.
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Workspace; use of Blackbaud K-12 products or similar independent school products a plus; experience with planning and project management platforms, such as Trello.
- Be able to attend 1-2 monthly evening and weekend admissions and school events.

Prior knowledge of Second Baptist Church and School will be considered a plus.
