We’re looking for a Benefits Administrator to support the day-to-day administration of company-provided employee benefits and leave programs, helping to ensure smooth operations and a positive experience for our employees. In this role, you’ll assist with tasks such as processing enrollments and changes, answering employee questions, and helping to maintain accurate benefit records. You’ll also play an important part in supporting our HR goals and helping us stay compliant with applicable laws and company policies.
This position is a great opportunity to learn and grow in the benefits field. It requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication. You should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, handling confidential information, and helping to coordinate with external vendors such as insurance carriers and benefit providers.

***Even though this position is totally remote you MUST reside in Pacific Time Zone.
Key Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration: Contribute to the administration of certain health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, leave administration, tuition reimbursement, and/or wellness programs in the US and Canada. Ensures employee benefits are administered accurately and in a timely manner.
Vendor Relations: Coordinates with benefits providers, brokers, and third-party administrators. Monitors vendor performance and help to resolve any service issues in coordination with the Benefits Manager.
Open Enrollment: Assists in the preparation and execution of annual US Open Enrollment and Special Enrollment windows (e.g., unions or in Puerto Rico or Canada). Works with vendors and Benefits Operations to ensure systems are updated and tested, plus communications are sent.
Compliance: Coordinates with vendors to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and COBRA. Help ensure programs are carried out in accordance with company's policies and procedures, including compliance with HIPAA
Process Improvement: Continuously reviews and improves benefits administration processes for efficiency and employee satisfaction, working with the Benefits Administration (RBA) and Benefits Operations (HRIS) teams
Additional Functions: May conduct benefit audits to ensure data integrity aligns with payroll and /or assist in special projects, as assigned.
Performs related duties of a similar nature and scope, as assigned.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required
1-2 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role, including proven knowledge of benefits practices and regulations
Competencies
Knowledge of benefits administration practices, process and techniques.
Awareness of HRIS and benefits management platforms.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and other beginner to intermediate formulas.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with emotional or confrontational circumstances.
Ability to be an effective team member and handle project assignments responsibly.
Ability to self-generate and implement solutions based on prior experience and company knowledge.
Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.
